Hand-painted originals on wood
An unusual medium for unusual images
My originals differ greatly from my digital prints – yet they belong together. For me, painting in a traditional way is just another path to express my creativity. Although "traditional" in this context is quite generous. My pictures are anything but ordinary.

About working with wood, ink, charcoal, and gold
Unlike smooth canvases, I work on OSB wooden panels, the surface of which already brings its own history. Grains, structures, and small irregularities consciously flow into the works and influence the overall character of the picture. This creates a look and feel that cannot be replicated with prints or normal canvases.
This creates a special connection between the motif and the material: The wood is not just a background, but an active part of the artwork. It is precisely this combination of surreal imagery and raw surface that makes each piece truly unique.
Every small piece of wood is different and requires its own unique handling. That's why I don't paint with oil or acrylic, but with ink and charcoal. I don't paint over the wood, but rather stain it to preserve its unique texture and integrate it into my work.
