A Omamori (お守り) is a Japanese good luck and protection charm sold at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. It is typically a small, often embroidered, cloth pouch containing a prayer, sacred text, or a protective deity. Omamori are believed to serve various purposes, such as health, success in love, or academic success, and are thought to be effective for about a year .
